Carol Grace Anderson
To say that Carol has a colorful background is a huge understatement! As
a young girl, she and her family lived in a tiny 18-foot trailer… surrounded by circus performers. Her very first job at age seven was selling boxed greeting cards door-to-door in the trailer park for one of her neighbors. Carol eventually returned to art in the form of painting and writing. She hit the ground running and now creates greeting cards and gift books for Blue Mountain Arts.
After earning a master’s degree from New York University, Carol taught Life Skills and English in a New York State men’s prison for five years and was inspired to write her first book, Get Fired Up Without Burning Out! She also has an inspiriting story in the best seller Chicken Soup for the College Soul. She has shared her motivating thoughts and solutions
by giving keynote speeches across the country.
Carol has a stellar music background as well. She has performed with such entertainment legends as Johnny Cash, Roy Clark, Jimmy Buffett, and Willie Nelson. And as an actress, she has had movie roles with Faye Dunaway and Sandra Bullock.
In spite of all her accomplishments, Carol would say that she learned more practical life lessons from her dog Cowgirl than from any college course. Her first book with Blue Mountain Arts, Pawprints of Wisdom, is a reminder of those powerful lessons about love, laughter, loss, patience, and more that we can learn from our furry friends.
